Spas + Chocolate = The Greatest Love of All
Roses are red. Violets are blue. My eyebrows are shabby. And my toenails are too. V-Day marks the greatest day of all to practice the fine art of self-love. My suggestion is that you splurge on one of those foofy spa facials or body treatments that you would normally pass up for something more practical. I say go for it, you can work in that eyebrow waxing or date-night toenail polish while you're at it. Here are a few to chomp on: The Chocolate Blush Facial (60 min., $145) at the Spa at Marriott's Camelback Inn in Scottsdale. Offered through February, the sweet journey starts with a warm towel wrap and a heated stone placed on your heart chakra. The treatment climaxes (yes, I said climaxes) with an organic chocolate mask and afterward, you're treated to a hot cup of chocolate-flavored tea and given a heart-shaped rose quartz and Blush chocolate bar from New Tree Chocolates. For a less expensive but just as sweet interlude, try the Chocolate Addiction Facial (60 min., $59/members, $75/non-members and $39 for first-time visitors with the ArizonaSpaGirls.com coupon) at Fuchsia Spa in Mesa.
