Going Glam for the Cure: Too Faced Betsy Baby Shadow

We unabashedly and unapologetically adore Too Faced Cosmetics. Every product comes tapped with a dash a personality, a sprinkle of charm and a dollop of glamor. I've been gaga over my Love Lisa mini beauty kit (inspired by Lisa Blandino, Too Faced creator Jerrod Blandino's sister, who is battling skin cancer) ever since I got my hands on it. A portion of proceeds of this glam little box benefits the Melanoma Research Foundation. And now they've topped themselves with their latest release: Too Faced Betsy Baby Eyeshadow Duo. The story of Betsy Babe started in in 2007 when Sephora's senior VP of marketing, Betsy Olum, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout Betsy's trying time, Jerrod remained one of her top supporters and during one of their many heart-to-heart chats, Betsy jokingly asked if Jerrod would bring back her favorite discontinued Too Faced shadow, Heiress. Jerrod happily obliged, and worked with Betsy to develop the perfect highlighting-accent color. The result was a fierce, perfectly pink duo that was renamed Betsy Baby in honor of her battle and triumph over breast cancer. And here's the kicker: Jerrod has committed to donating $3 per sale of this limited-edition shadow to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). In return, Betsy has personally committed to the same donation, as has Sephora. Translation: A whopping $9 per sale of Betsy Baby goes directly to BCRF. The mission of BCRF is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. The limited-edition shadow is available exclusively at Sephora stores and on www.sephora.com and retails for $17. Read more about Too Faced at www.toofaced.com.
