Rosie Cheeks Soak

A sensuous, salty soak laced with rose petals and positive vibes.

Lift your spirits and soak your worries away with some rose-infused bath tub bliss. Roses have been used for centuries to soothe tired and problematic skin and calm emotional tension. Rich in minerals and gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, this spa worthy soak will leave you glowing inside and out.

Here's what you do:

Mix 2 cups of Epsom salt with the rose essential oil. Pour the mixture under running water and hop in. Add a few more drops of rose essential oil if needed. For an extra touch of pretty, sprinkle in the rose petals. Lay back, relax and bask in your rosy glow.

You'll need:

  • 3-5 drops rose essential oil
  • 2 cups Epsom salt
  • 1 rose (or a whole bouquet if you want!)

Do-It-Yourself Tips:

  • Try out your concoctions on an inconspicuous place like your forearm before you go slathering it all your body and have fun!
  • Use recipes with perishable food items such as eggs and veggies immediately or store in an airtight container up to one week in the frig.
  • Vodka, witch hazel, vinegar and lemon juice are natural preservatives and help extend the life of a DIY mixture.
  • Sugar and salt scrubs generally keep for a couple months as long as the container has a tight seal.
  • Store aromatherapy massage oils in a dark, well-sealed glass container for up to 6 months.
  • For gifts, consider separating the dry ingredients from the liquid and giving the recipient directions on how to mix them in one-use increments.
