Who we are

Since launching ArizonaSpaGirls.com in the summer of 2002, chief executive spa girl Lisa Kasanicky (AKA, Sunny) has made it her mission to keep her eyes and ears peeled for the latest spa news, the best local beauty bargains, the hottest home spa products and anything that might help you enjoy the healing benefits of the spa world. She relies on her extended family of spa girls and boys and partners like YES on azcentral.com, the Arizona Office of Tourism's ArizonaGuide.com, Total Beauty, the Beauty Blog Network and others to spread the spa word. She has served as the spa editor of Item Magazine and beauty editor of East West Magazine, and continues to freelance with various local and national publications including Healing Lifestyles & Spas magazine. She is also a regular contributor to ABC-15's Sonoran Living and other local lifestyle programs (view clips). Her first book, "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Girlfriend Getaways," is due out in bookstores nationwide in April 2009.

Arizona SpaGirls also strives to be a positive force in the local community. Through our annual Summer Spaaah Series events, Arizona SpaGirls supports the Fresh Start Women's Foundation. Fresh Start is a Phoenix-based charitable organization dedicated to helping empower women through the services of the Jewell McFarland Lewis-Fresh Start Women's Resource Center, the first comprehensive self-help center for women in the country. Arizona SpaGirls is also a proud Ambassador of the Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club, a local branch of the Active 20-30 International community service organization. Valley of the Sun consists of professional women between the ages of 20 and 39 who strive to improve the quality of life for the special needs of children in the community.
